How Do You Drink Your Water?

Last week we talked about how important it is to drink water and how much water you should be drinking daily. Today, I have some yummy recipes to make drinking water tastier than ever!

Did you know that you can infuse your water and it will stay good for 2-3 days refrigerated after creating your favorite flavors? Wait at least 2-4 hours after making it before drinking for the flavor to really kick in. Some ingredients hold up better than others. Herbs such as rosemary will last longer than most fruits.

Here are some yummy recipes from Culinary Hill, inspired by The Flavor Bible:

>> Strawberry, Lemon and Basil <<

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup ice
  • ½ cup strawberries (stemmed and sliced)
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced
  • 5 large basil leaves torn

>> Watermelon, Kiwi and Lime <<

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup watermelon, cubed
  • 1 kiwi, diced
  • 1 lime thinly sliced

>> Blueberry, Lemon and Rosemary <<

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup ice
  • ½ pint blueberries
  • 1 lemon thinly sliced
  • 4 sprigs of fresh rosemary

>> Honeydew, Cucumber and Mint <<

  • 5 cups water
  • 1 cup ice
  • ½ cup honeydew, cubed
  • 1 cucumber thinly sliced
  • 10 fresh mint leaves, torn

Drink up and stay hydrated!
